The Announcements module allow you to create a variety of announcements that can be grouped by category and associated with tags.

There is a simple publishing workflow.

1.Create the announcement.

               At this stage the announcement is unpublished

2.When the announcement is ready to be published the “Publish” button is clicked and the announcement is publish. At any time the announcement can be unpublished.

3. When the announcement is published it is set with a “New” flag and will be shown in the module, as seen here.

The new flag will be removed from the announcement by a job that is run (when configured) on a scheduled basis.

This module as simple but effective. Its a general announcements module but with the use of categories and tags can become quite versatile
